CLICK, CLACK, MOO COWS THAT TYPE
by Doreen Cronin

Age: 5-7
Genre: Comedy and Humor, Series
Last year we had an awesome fieldtrip to the theater!!
My students and I saw the play “Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type”.
And we really had fun!
So, this is why I strongly recommend reading the book.

ABOUT THIS BOOK
Farmer Brown
has a problem.
His cows like to type.
All day long he hears
Click, clack, MOO.
Click, clack, MOO.
Clickety, clack, MOO.
Farmer Brown thinks it's odd when he hears typing sounds coming from the barn. But his troubles really begin when his cows start leaving him notes. First they demand better working conditions, then they stage a strike...
The hens support the cows. The farmer types notes back. The ducks mediate the dispute, carrying typed notes between house and barn!
This highly amusing tale combines several styles of writing: straight prose, letter-writing and sounds.

Other versions that you may enjoy:

IT´S TIME TO WRITE:

  • Choose an animal of the farm and write a letter to the farmer Brown thinking that you are this animal.
If you don't know how to write a letter, don´t worry, here are some clues that will help you to write correctly.
Have fun and be creative :)

HEADING: Includes the address and the date. In some cases, it is OK to just write the date.
GREETING: The greeting usually starts with 'Dear' and is followed the person's name and then a comma.
BODY: After skipping a line, you begin the body of your letter which is the main text of your letter. Indent for each new paragraph.
CLOSING: The closing includes a short capitalized expression such as 'Sincerely' or 'Love' and is followed by a comma. Skip a line after the body before writing your closing.
SIGNATURE: You sign your name beginning directly below the closing.
Sometimes you may add a POSTSCRIPT at the end of your letter. You write P.S., add a note and then end it with your initials.
